You are what you absorb. The body can only grow as good as the materials you give it.
The old saying,”You are what you eat” _ Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin
This quote appears to be very well-known, but that accurate. Everyone body absorption of the food consumed is not always the same.
You Are What You Absorb
The duodenum is the first foot of the small intestine. Generally, minerals such as calcium, copper, manganese, and magnesium get absorbed here. Digestion of many water and fat soluble vitamins also starts here, as does digestion of fat and different kinds of carbs like fructose, glucose, and galactose. Knowing this, if the pH of the stomach is off (usually not enough hydrochloric acid), these nutrients won’t absorb well. _ 01/26/11
